Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz as a child. Her roles included lead characters in television dramas as early at the age of 16. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. The film won an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable national and international projects throughout her career. These include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical mini-series Napoleon and many more. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
