Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian who has been around for quite a while. Born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. The comedian has been on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March, 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea's acting career started in the year 2011 as a comedian after appearing in small parts on Irish and British TV series starting in the year 2009. She began appearing frequently on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms in 2012. In the wake of her success during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was scheduled for a range of panel programs. Between 2016 and 2017, she was a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats' team, as well as a participant in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. Parents include Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has an older sister named Sinead. In 2012 she became the second woman to ever win the So You think You're Funny award. Her surname is Bea to pay tribute to her late father. Aisling Claiodhnadhs Sullivan was born on March 16, 1984, at Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet, who committed suicide at the age of three when Bea turned three was a sufferer of self-harm. She was told about his passing at thirteen years of age. In 2017 she published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and she adopted the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea as well as her younger sister Sinead was raised with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney), a former jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. Their family was in love with racing and horses. Bea had a job as a tour guide in the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she didn't want racing as a career. Instead she loved the artistic arts.
